About Ivy League

T. Cook called T. Jones one day in late 2011 to discuss an "accoust-o-punk" style recording project, to which T obliged. The two had grown up together, playing in bands since the age of twelve so it was a no-brainer for each T. Before long, they began tracking what has become Ivy League's first EP, enlisting Handsome Jonni and T. Armstrong for lead vocals. Jones and Jonni had played together in numerous bands and Armstrong's sneering vocals were a good fit on some of the more aggressive tracks. The EP was released in July 2012, far (but not too far) from its acoustic roots, and can be heard on this site and downloaded in full resolution on the group's Bandcamp page for a few bucks.

Having gone through multiple attempts at finding a rhythm section with the right fit for live performances, the group found Denny and Levaughn, in late 2012, to provide the rumble. Shout outs must go to Jeff Murray, who helped get the crew going on bass, and Aaron Rendo and Jason McIsaac for their assistance on drums. You may see these dashing lads again in the futureā€¦

Here it is, a new year, and Ivy League has plenty in store with upcoming gigs and a new EP scheduled for release in the spring/summer. Be sure to keep up-to-date with this fresh new band as they take the scene with pride.
